2025 Wildlife Speaker Series — Hummingbirds!
The Centennial Valley Association is hosting a Wildlife Speaker Series session in the Centennial Valley next Wednesday! We will be joined by Dr. Bret Tobalske, professor and director of the field research station at University of Montana, who will be highlighting his research and experience with hummingbirds! "Hummingbirds are the only birds that can sustain hovering, and they exhibit incredible control, stability and agility in their flight. New research reveals how they rapidly escape, hover in the dark and reject external disturbances. We will explore how their extraordinary abilities relate to their patterns of wing movement, muscle and skeleton design and aerodynamics.” The details:

TIME: Community potluck begins at 6pm; Presentation begins at 7pm
CVA and the Taft-Nicholson Center will provide the main course for the event. Please bring a side dish or dessert to pass.
